A two-car crash in Hartford left one woman dead Thanksgiving night, Connecticut state police reported.
41-year-old Mary White was driving her car on I-84 close to exit 48 in Hartford at around 11:30 p.m. when her car crashed with another vehicle, causing it to go over a concrete median before ending up on Capital Avenue ramp to I-84 West.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old driver of the other car, Cherri Brooks, and her three children all sustained non-serious injuries.

The driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee died after his car caught fire near the Connecticut state lane of Interstate 91 at 5:51 p.m. on Sunday, November 10.
An initial investigation conducted by the Massachusetts State Police revealed the driver swerved into an adjacent lane to avoid hitting couch cushions lying in the road. His car then hit a tractor trailer truck, causing his car to catch on fire after the collision.
The accident is currently under investigation as the State Police seek information about the trailer truck.

A West Haven High School graduate died on Monday, September 23 after his car crashed into a utility pole, police said.
18-year old A.J. Cedillo died at Yale-New Haven Hospital due to serious, life-threatening injuries he sustained in the crash. His passengers, three teenage girls, are alive but were also severely injured. One has been already released, while the other two “have a long road to recovery,” according to the police.
The accident occurred along westbound Indian River Road on the afternoon of Friday, September 20 around 4 p.m. Cedillo lost control of his black Subaru sedan and swerved off the road.
According to witnesses, they heard a loud screeching, then a large bang around a corner of 85 Indian Road.
The primary cause of the accident is still under investigation by the authorities.
