Kawasaki to recall Ninja 300 due to electrical problems

11,097 recent Ninja 300 models will be recalled by motorcycle maker Kawasaki to address an electrical issue.motorcycle

According to the recall, the 2013 model of the Ninja 300 is affected by an “improper setting in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU)” that may cause the motorcycle to stall if the driver reduces its speed. The agency found out about the issue after complaints from affected owners were posted in forums and through formal complaints.

Kawasaki said they will ask dealers to change the ECU of the affected motorcycles beginning in mid-August.
