A 21-year-old woman from Madison was charged with driving under the influence after crashing into two businesses in West Hartford Center in the early morning of October 20, according to the police.

Samantha Taschner, who was allegedly drunk while driving a white Volvo when the accident happened, was charged with two counts of failure to drive right and driving under the influence after her car struck the front of Radio Shack and Harry's Pizza on South Main Street at 3:08 a.m. Taschner's car then hit a small tree and a sign before coming to a stop.

Taschner was released on a $500 bond.
