Police determine fatal propane explosion an accident

Posted by Connecticut Accident News | Aug 30, 2013 | 0 Comments

The propane explosion that killed one man and injured two others in August of 2012 has been officially declared an accident. The accident occurred when homeowner John Wilkinson and his friend Athony Fratino III attempted to repair a propane leak in Wilkinson's home, causing an explosion so powerful that the entire home was leveled. Wilkinson was killed in the accident, while Fratino and his young son, who was also at the scene of the accident, suffered serious injuries.

While the police report did not find anyone to be criminally responsible for the accident, it did note that the cause of the accident appeared to have been a  propane line that was improperly capped nine years prior, allowing the basement to fill with dangerous gases.

The thoughts of everyone at the Law Offices of Paul Levin go out to the victims of this tragic accident and their families.

The following case is successfully handled in Connecticut courts by Attorney Levin.
